Each day about 500 – 600 people pass away because of the AIDS/HIV disease and leave behind orphans. One out of 3 children has no father, mother or neither parent because of this epidemic. The HERZ foundation started in Harare in 1999 a support programm with some local organizations. Prime focus is to pay for orphans and other children in need the local and state school fees. Each child requires at this time 60 € (equals US-$ 75) annually to pay for the fees including some learning material.
